Gag Sheet Metal, Inc. (GSM) is a family-owned company based in New Ulm, MN. The company was founded in 1904 by George Gag and has since been passed down through the family.
GSM is now owned and operated by the fourth generation of the family, John Gag.
Over 100 Years
GSM has been around for over 100 years and is southern Minnesota’s oldest HVAC and roofing business.
In fact, GSM has been a dealer of Bryant® Heating and Cooling Systems longer than any other company in Minnesota and has been recognized as one of the best HVAC system installation and servicing companies.
Continue to Diversify
With the knowledge and skills gained from a long history of excellence in the roofing and HVAC business, the company has continued to diversify its offerings.
Areas into which the business has expanded include kitchen, laundry, commercial and outdoor cooking appliances, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, plumbing and drain cleaning.
To best showcase all of the appliances, fixtures and more that the company offers, GSM recently built a showroom in New Ulm, MN. Customers are able to explore GSM’s wide selection of products with the help of friendly, knowledgeable staff. The showroom gives customers the opportunity to learn about the features of each product and find the ones that will function best for their family and compliment their home.

Expanding Services
As GSM has grown so has its service area. Between 2013 and 2015, GSM purchased Schanus Plumbing & Heating in New Ulm, MN, and Isakson’s Plumbing in Gibbon, MN, to further grow the business and expand into the plumbing industry.
As GSM continued to expand, the decision was made to open a branch in Hutchinson, MN, to create a location specific to customers in its northern service area. These expansions have enabled the company to reach and provide improved service to more customers.
GSM’s highly trained staff, installers and service technicians continue to proudly serve residents and businesses across Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.
